About the Series: Rusty Flathers’ Wild Fishing Adventures
Rusty Flathers ain’t your average angler. His stories come packed with more twists than a treble hook and more drama than a fishing line tangled in a cedar bush. From the frozen tundra of ice shanties to high-society headlines, Rusty navigates life one fish at a time—and usually with a pile of fish slime along the way. With each episode, you’ll find yourself knee-deep in adventure, mystery, and a few awkward love stories that only a true fisherman could endure.
Whether he’s fighting a northern pike in the middle of a blizzard or dodging scandalous rumors about his relationship with outdoor model Sally Squatsnfishes, Rusty’s got more stories than a Minnesota fish camp on a Friday night. And just when you think the action’s over, there’s always another fish on the line.
For lovers of fishing, comedy, and high-stakes adventure, the Rusty Flathers series promises a wild ride through fish-infested waters, media frenzies, and the occasional broken heart. Buckle up your waders—Rusty’s world is about to reel you in.
About the Author: Gary Moeller
Gary Moeller grew up in the duck-blind plains of Tipton, Iowa, where the skies were full of geese and his heart was set on two things: fishing and writing. When he wasn’t knee-deep in mud tracking waterfowl, he had a pen in one hand and a fishing rod in the other, dreaming of a life that stretched beyond cornfields and cattails.
That dream took him to the wild Northwoods of Minnesota, where Gary rolled up his sleeves and helped build one of the finest fishing resorts this side of the Canadian border. Walleyes, sauger, and the toothiest critters around became his bread and butter, and with each cast, Gary learned more about the art of reeling in the big ones—and the stories that followed.
But it didn’t stop there. Gary’s love for simplicity and solitude led him to stake his claim on a five-acre rock smack in the middle of the lake, where the world slowed down, and the fishing got bigger. Pike, musky, bass—you name it, Gary’s fished it, and he’s brought it back to his humble island hideaway, where he shows guests the magic of fishing in its purest form. With the wind in his face and a fish on the line, Gary’s living proof that a simpler life is often the one worth living—and writing about.
Now, Gary spins those tales through the adventures of Rusty Flathers, bringing readers into a world where fishing is more than just a sport—it’s a way of life. Grab a seat, crack open a cold one, and enjoy the ride, because when Gary’s telling a story, you know it’s going to be a whopper.
